Who is behind We Are Makers?

Welcome to our About page! We are Kate and Jack, two passionate individuals dedicated to amplifying the voices of makers and sharing their crafts with the world. As fellow makers ourselves, we understand the challenges of gaining visibility and recognition on a global scale. That's why we are committed to making a meaningful impact.

Our journey began in early 2019, and since then, it has been a whirlwind of excitement, hard work, and fulfillment. We have poured our hearts into creating beautiful printed publications, which take months of meticulous preparation. These publications serve as a medium for makers to showcase their creations and inspire people who may have never encountered their work before. If you’d like to support us, the best way to do so is to purchase a copy of an edition, this helps us keep print going!

In addition to our printed publications, we have built our own podcast channel. We travel far and wide to provide makers with a platform to share their stories. Through intimate conversations and in-depth interviews, we strive to bring their unique journeys, struggles, and triumphs to a global audience. We do this on our own, paying for most of these trips from our own savings.

We believe in the power of community and the collective strength it brings. We are immensely grateful to everyone who has supported us on this mission. Your contributions, whether big or small, have made a significant impact in helping us create a platform for makers to shine.

While we have achieved much over the past few years, we feel that this is just the beginning. We are constantly driven to do more, reach more people, and uncover the hidden gems of the maker world.
