Shannon: The company was really formed off a mission rather than a product, and really our mission is about inspiring participation and empowerment of others in the community. The way that we do that is by producing branded footwear here in Downtown Los Angeles, California, which then builds a manufacturing community and creates jobs in our local area. Only about 1% of footwear is made locally, and establishing our set-up was a concerted effort. Sean’s background is in footwear development and design and he really has a passion for bringing things back closer to where customers are.

Sean: From the customer side, for every purchase made we donate to the charity of the customer’s choice. We feel it’s really important for people to get involved in their local communities, which is why we connect the customer to the giving; it’s not just a portion of proceeds. When they check out, the customer can connect their purchase to the charity of their choice through Shop & Support – which works with over 1 million charities in the United States.
