I am a coppersmith who builds copper cookware. Making copper cookware involves creating thicker, modern copperware as well as designing vintage reproduction copper pieces or custom-built items, usually using tools made in the early 1800s. Right now, I think I’m the only woman in America who does this.

I do my copper work by myself in my garage in Wisconsin, USA. I’ll build pieces for my House Copper standard line, but most weeks also involve using thinner copper sheet to create one-off pieces or do repair work. I could be making a copper tray to certain specifications or patching a brittle, 300-year-old coffee pot.
