M&M BBQ, Mike and Matt, Tool Texas.
Our journey through the southern United States led us to the Lone Star State, Texas, a place we had always dreamed of visiting.. Our first stop in Texas was the town of Tool, where we had the pleasure of meeting Matt, Mike, and Betina, the passionate minds behind M&M BBQ. Their innovative approach to crafting BBQ’s caught our attention, and we were eager to delve into their story and showcase their craftsmanship.
As avid BBQ enthusiasts, we stumbled upon M&M BBQ through Instagram and was eager to learn more about the people behind the company. To our delight, Betina responded to our inquiry before flying to the states and we booked a date in the diary!
Finding a convenient hotel next to their workshop in Tool, we settled in for the night, eager to dive into our Texas adventure. the next day.
The next morning, filled with anticipation, we made our way next door to M&M BBQ's bustling workshop. The sight of the busy yard heightened our excitement to explore. As we entered, we were warmly greeted by Mike, Matt, and Betina, the driving forces behind the business. Their lifelong passion for BBQ and friendship set the foundation for M&M BBQ's success.
Mike and Matt, childhood friends, shared their love for BBQ and food. Their workshop serves the birthplace for every M&M BBQ creation, from design and fabrication to shipping. Taking us on a tour, we marveled at the scale of their operations. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in their BBQs were awe-inspiring. Witnessing their creations in person was a truly remarkable experience.
With the workshop doors open and the backdrop of their magnificent BBQs, we sat down for a video podcast, capturing the essence of the company. Despite their busy schedules, Mike and Matt graciously shared their story, allowing us a glimpse into their passion and dedication. Their podcast episode which is available is a fascinating listen and we are so delighted to share it with the world. During our visit, we even witnessed one of their commercial BBQs being loaded for shipment to California, a testament to their growing success.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mike, Matt, and Betina for taking the time out of their busy day to accommodate us. Their warm hospitality continued as they treated us to a delicious Mexican lunch. Our short time spent with them was nothing short of fantastic, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share their inspiring story. (We can’t wait to come back and visit!!)
After bidding farewell to our new friends, we embarked on the next leg of our Texas adventure. Driving to Dallas, we looked forward to meeting our next group of makers!
