I work the clay on a potter’s wheel in my studio, mainly making utilitarian works. I really like the idea that the dishes I make every day will then be used by people in their daily lives. They will take the piece and give it a new meaning, different to the story I had written in my work at the start. I believe all the nobility of craftsmanship comes from this transmission.

My studio is located behind my house in a small village in Belgium. I work with a view of the large garden and everything that happens there. It’s a beautiful place. It’s very important to me to see nature while I work.
