I’m Heath Polkinghorne, founder of Timberwolf Design. We design and make solid timber furniture in Adelaide, South Australia. We’ve developed a furniture range over the years while continuing to take on custom work and collaborate with designers and architects to expand our skill set. Our particular style is very clean, seeking to balance strength with elegance, and adds a touch of traditional joinery to modern furniture.

I started Timberwolf Design part-time from a tiny garden shed (3m x 2m) around 2015, and then knocked that down and built my own bigger shed (10m x 5m) to begin furniture making full-time in 2017. After two years, I had outgrown the home workshop and moved into a 400m2 warehouse in Henley Beach in 2019. We’ve since grown the business and luckily now have two more full-time makers with us, Harry and Dan, with my wife on accounts (on top of her full-time job and being a mum).
