Born in Milan, Italy, I am now a ceramist based in Berlin, Germany, where I have lived for nine years and where I run my studio. The core of my work is the production of functional ceramic tableware in stoneware for both private use and restaurants.
My partner and I moved to Berlin to experience a culturally vibrant city suitable for young artists and artisans who have dreams of embarking on a life-changing and professional journey. My studio is located in Weißensee, a city suburb that is changing very rapidly. It is home to one of Berlin’s most famous art schools and this has led to the emergence of many ateliers where there used to be factories and workshops. My studio also hosts other ceramic artists and I teach wheel-throwing classes there too.
Various reasons drive me to work in the field of crafts. First of all, there is the pleasure of working every day in an environment that I created myself. My studio is my home; it is the place where I feel most comfortable and where I can create in my own time and at my own pace.
