I am the founder and creator of Charlien Lagrou Jewellery. I grew up at the seaside, but I’m currently based in East Flanders, Belgium, where I have my atelier. I have been making my unique jewellery by hand using recycled silver and gold since 2018. 

I followed the part-time Jewellery Design and Goldsmithing programme at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp while still working in my previous job. It wasn’t easy to combine both, but ever since I started working with precious metals, I have never felt so passionate about something. Because I was so eager to learn more, and quickly, I started to do a lot of projects on my own. By doing so, I could ask my teachers a bunch of questions and keep on developing my skills. Besides completing my programme, I also followed quite a few masterclasses to gain in-depth knowledge about certain techniques and to share experiences with like-minded souls.
