Everyone is looking for their own path in life. Growing up in La Crépelière, a village in the west of France, I spent my childhood in the woods, with my fishing rod and my Swiss Army knife. With friends, we carved hazel bows and arrows. We hunted bison. And were then yelled at by the farmer because they were his cows. Then one day it was necessary to leave these protective woods of my childhood; I left to find my way as an adult.
Basketry came back to me after a long detour. For 20 years I did the circus; I studied ecology in Brittany and in Berlin; I worked with the tramps of Paris; I became a photographer; I touched Europe, Asia, India and America ... to finally find the way to my hazel wood. Travelling far, you learn above all where you come from.
