I am Fleur, an illustrator and printmaker from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in West Wales, UK, where I live with my dog Toast. I specialise in lino prints and my work is inspired by a variety of cultures, both ancient and contemporary. My work focuses on the earth, folklore, and ancient tales from my surroundings.

I surprisingly created my business in lockdown, and it started with one garden bird, a goldfinch. I decided in (what was expected to be) a three-week window away from my regular job that I would make some images of goldfinches for faraway family members. I had been linocut printing for years and studied photography as part of my BA at Falmouth University, where I decided to return for my MA in Illustration (Authorial Practice). Three weeks turned into, well, unemployment, and after moving onto chickens, hares and even pheasants, I realised I wasn’t really producing the work I wanted. So instead I created Fleur Illustrates.
