As a specialist in glass bead making, I design and manufacture glass jewellery for my own brand Heart Bead as well as for commissioned works. My studio is located in Allgäu, a region close to the Bavarian Alps in Germany, a place I have chosen because of its wonderful, inspiring nature.

I first got in touch with glass in 2015 and the fascination has continuously grown ever since. In my work, I mainly focus on soft glass lampworking, meaning that I melt the raw material, glass rods, using what is known as a torch. To create glass beads, the temperature of the flame needs to be about 800°C to 1,000°C. The type of glass that I work with is different to other types, mainly in regard to its flowing behaviour.
