I’m an illustrator and an aspiring inclusive designer. Diversity, equity and inclusion are recurring themes in my work. Not only do I try to represent as many different kinds of people in my illustrations, but I also design my products to be inclusive. I recently produced a range of greeting cards with braille text for people with impaired or no vision.
I’m a sociologist at heart. I like to dive into an under-represented group, talk to them, do some research and get inspired to create new designs and products.
RAANII is a one-woman show. I love working with traditional media in my sketchbook. My favourite materials are gouache, coloured pencils and markers. This wasn’t always the case – I didn’t even know that I could draw until three years ago.
