I am Ben Koracevic, aged 29, from Milton Keynes in England, UK. I am a self-taught string artist. This art form basically involves hitting nails into a piece of wood and wrapping string around the nail heads to create a picture. Most people assume at this point that I make pretty patterns, which always puts a smile on my face. 

In my previous career, I was a greenkeeper on a golf course, which I got into as soon as I left school. This led to the standard progressive career path over the next 10 years, involving a few diplomas at college and a few promotions, followed by an internship at the Ohio State University in the USA and a degree in sport turf science. By this point, I was 26 years old and really starting to have my pick of job opportunities within the golf course industry. Then I came across a video of string art.
