I started my own company, Vuorensaku Guitars, back in 2008, after I graduated from Ikaalinen School of Arts and Crafts (IKATA), Finland. First, I helped other luthiers for a few years. Then, in 2012, I opened my own workshop in Jyväskylä, Middle-Finland, to repair stringed instruments and make my own guitar and bass guitar models and other products, such as custom pickups. A year ago, having been in business for 11 years, I took my master exam and became the youngest master luthier in Finland, at the age of 35.

My very first instrument collection began to take shape in December 2014, when I just decided to start building something that I truly liked myself. My love of the offset style of guitars formed the basis for everything. I started to draw, shape and mash up my designs with some classics like Fender Jazzmaster and Telecaster and Mosrite guitars, and there it was. The collection is called the T. Family and it includes both guitars and basses. My passion for the relic and aged style is inspired by old houses, furniture and cars from the 1950s. T. Family is a custom concept where customers can choose all of the materials, details, features and parts for the instrument; the only thing I decide myself is the outer form. Sometimes I also build instruments bypassing the order line, just to express my own ideas.
