Less than five weeks in the planning, a springtime podcasting tour of the Southern United States saw We Are Makers cover 4,000 miles of highways and seven states in 36 days to meet 32 makers. Kate and Jack Lennie share their adventure.

When custom fountain pen-maker Tim Cullen messaged to let us know that the pen he’d made We Are Makers was ready to ship, a wild idea popped into Kate’s head. Why not collect it in person and do a podcast with Tim at the same time? Four and a half weeks later, we were on a plane to Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
