Ceramicist Leah Schwantz reveals how her skills have evolved and how the focus of her work has shifted more towards conservation activism since we last featured her in We Are Makers, in March 2021.

It’s great to revisit your work. What has changed since we last featured you?

It feels like the time has really flown by. An obvious change is there’s definitely been growth in my Instagram presence, which has been really interesting. I’ve been connecting with so many more people and organisations and this year in particular I’ve had quite a few organisations reach out to me about collaborative projects around conservation. That’s been really exciting.
